Animal Advocates Operations Update – A Message to Our Supporters
Dear Animal Advocates Friends and Supporters,
We hope this email finds you, your family, and your friends (furry and other) safe and healthy.
As part of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf’s order, all non-essential businesses in the state have closed. That includes the Animal Advocates Thrift Shop, which represents our organization’s main source of fundraising. Additionally, while we are still accepting and processing applications for our available cats and dogs, all meet and greets at our facility and foster homes will be suspended until further notice.
We understand that many people are struggling at the moment. If you can find it in your heart – and your budget, of course – to donate to Animal Advocates, it will go a long way toward ensuring care for our current animals, or any future residents that may end up displaced because of this pandemic.
We are in the midst of an unprecedented time, and our all-volunteer animal shelter needs your help while we confront these unique circumstances. Any donation you can spare would be of immense help to our animals and the volunteers who care for them.
If you are unable to make a monetary donation, we always need donations in the form of dog and cat food, treats, litter and other supplies that are critical to our mission.
As more information becomes available, updates will be posted on our website and social media accounts. We appreciate your continued support of Animal Advocates, and all animals in need, during this difficult period.
From all of the cats, dogs and volunteers of Animal Advocates – Thank you, and stay safe.
