DESCRIPTION:Give Big Pittsburgh COVID 19 Response Campaign – Support Animal Advocates and Help the Lives of Animals in Need! \nOn Tuesday\, May 5 please consider participating in the citywide fundraising effort to support local nonprofits. Animal Advocates needs your support now more than ever to continue the life saving work to help rescue and re-home cats and dogs throughout the Pittsburgh region. \nDonate by visiting https://www.givebigpittsburgh.com/ and search for “Animal Advocates” or visit our Give Big Donation page (linked here).  You can also donate directly on the Animal Advocates website: https://www.animaladvocates.net/ .  We are accepting both monetary and supply donations. THANK YOU! \nAs a result of the COVID-19 pandemic\, following the mandate of local and state officials\, the Animal Advocates Thrift Shop – the main source of funding for the organization – has been closed indefinitely.  Additionally\, we have received an increase number of intake requests for cats and dogs in need of rehoming and\, unfortunately\, expect these numbers to continue to climb as individuals are displaced and face hardships.  We are in the midst of an unprecedented time\, and our all-volunteer animal shelter needs your help while we confront these unique circumstances.  If you can find it in your heart – and your budget\, of course – to donate to Animal Advocates\, it will go a long way toward ensuring care for our current animals\, or any future residents that may end up displaced because of this pandemic.
